Fort Lauderdale
Inversion and arm balance workshops in Fort Lauderdale.
Inversions and arm balances do not require extreme flexibility or acrobatic background; they require clear alignment mechanics, core engagement, and intelligent step-by-step progressions. The workshops break down complex shapes like crow pose, forearm stand, headstand, and handstand into approachable stages you can build on.
By focusing on shoulder stabilization, wrist health, and practical safety techniques, you build the confidence to practice inversions at home or in class. Each progression meets you where you are, so a beginner and an experienced student can work in the same room. Props and assists are provided, and you will not be adjusted without being asked first.
Sara Grossman breaks down inversions with intelligent sequencing and supportive hands-off instruction, built on the Krishnamacharya lineage. You can read more about Sara Grossman and her approach to progressive, safe sequencing.
The next workshop is Flip Your Perspective, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm at Prana Hot Yoga and Bodyworks on SE 17th St in Fort Lauderdale. It is $50 for Prana members and $60 for non-members, and payment holds your place. You will leave with a progression you can practice on your own.
You do not need to be able to hold a headstand to join. You need clothes you can move in, a willingness to try, and respect for your own edge. If you are working around a wrist, shoulder, or neck issue, tell Sara at the start and she will give you modifications that keep you safe while you learn the mechanics.
Your first regular class with Sara is free, in a Fort Lauderdale studio, on the Monday Zoom, or as a 15-minute call. The workshop is a separate paid event, but starting with a free class is a good way to meet Sara and feel the approach before the workshop.
